GUIDELINES FOR THE HASSELBLAD USERS GROUP MAILING LIST

PLEASE KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE

Thank you for joining the Hasselblad Users Group (HUG), a mailing list devoted 
to all things Hasselblad.  Everyone is welcome, from weekend snapshooter to hard 
working pros; the only criteria for membership here is an interest in Hasselblad 
cameras, their lenses and accessories.  Questions and comments to the list 
concerning products in the current catalogue as well as older discontinued stuff 
and collectibles are all welcome.

Also encouraged are comments and discussions about photographs taken with 
Hasselblads.  While I expect most postings to be concerned with equipment and 
technique, I would like to encourage discussions about Hasselblad photography 
itself.

Please DO NOT send attachments of any form whatsoever to the list.  I reserve 
the right to unsubscribe anyone who does so without notice.

It is not acceptable for people to use the list to conduct a business in the 
sale of camera equipment.  However, it is acceptable for individuals 
occasionally to post advertisements to sell cameras, and very much acceptable 
for individuals to post requests to buy cameras. Hasselblad dealers are very 
much welcome to share their expertise, as long as they do not use the list to 
conduct business.  Also, if a deal is initiated between two individuals subject 
to the constraints of this paragraph, final details of the transaction must be 
conducted off-list. 

The list will be run in a self-regulating mode.   As is often the case in 
mailing lists, there will be times when disagreements  occur.  This is normal 
and to be expected.  What will NOT be tolerated are situations when this 
degenerates into shouting matches.  You can always escalate these thing off-
list.

| Please be very careful about sending unsolicited email to individual members 
| OFF-LIST.  In particular, it is not acceptable to try to sell merchandise or 
| in general to SPAM members of the HUG off-list.   Please send complaints 
| regarding this to me personally (see below for my email address).  If you 
| have something to offer the HUG, post it directly.  Just be certain that it 
| adheres to these guidelines.
	
Personal attacks on subscribers will not be tolerated. 

Flaming is contrary to the spirit in which this list operates.
