Has anyone compared it with the earlier B50 versions? If so, how do they measure up? And yes, I already know the differences between lenses that have T* and don't. BUT, I'm concerned by reports that they tend to have problems and are difficult to load. I use Porta 160 NC a lot, so there's no problem with film availability. Are you using them? If so, what has your experience been? TIA!/Scott Gardner __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! But fallen out of use with the demise of 100 ft. rolls of plus x and Tri x. Is Portra 160 NC OK stuff? not just a slight upgrade from VPS (which i hated) I can scan it on my Umax powerlook III. I like the VS which seems like a less jacked up Pro 100 or 400. I do this all the time, and in fact do it with my double light wedding system and have never found the need to nor has my lab (Burrell) ever suggested I do so. -- regards, Henry Posner Director of Sales and Training B&H Photo-Video, and Pro-Audio Inc. http://www.bhphotovideo.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 28 Sep 2000 05:53:34 +0100 From: Ragnar Hansen To: hasselblad@kelvin.net Subject: Re: HUG: 70mm back 'issues' Message-ID: <39D2CECE.54557EAE@powertech.no> I've got eight of the 70mm mags, and they all need to be exercized regulary. If not all kinds of problems appear. I have no problem loading them. I use Lihof Bereitscaftboxes which have place for one full and one empty cartridge. I tape the front end of the film to the empty spool, and tape the linhof box before it goes to the freezer. This is very convenient when you do not know how much film you need to use. Just take out as many as you prob need from the freezer in good time before shooting, and if do not use all, just throw them back. Have you tried to extend dev time on the Porta 160NC with 30-45 sec? This way the density and colour saturation is brought up to what I find is a very good level. Ragnar Hansen e 70mm backs *seem* to offer me some significant advantages.
