However much you stop down, you still won't be at critical focus. The flexy can't do much else, but it can sure tilt... There are a limited number of labs that can process it, More information can be found at How to develop Scala yourself I like the film. However, most amateurs may not be happy with the results o= f printing. C-prints will tend to have a color cast. To print on traditiona= l B&W papers you, or the lab, will have to create an internegative. Most la= bs don't do a great job of making prints. The film is really aimed at the c= ommercial photographer that is dealing with clients that are set up to rece= ive transparencies but want B&W for a particular job. That being said you can get very good results if you subsequently scan the = film, with a good scanner, and print the results using ConeTech's B&W Piezo= graphy inks on a suitable printer. And didn't mean it as a personal attack, yet was immediately enraged when I sensed that familiar tone of voice. I too appreciate the low prices, but had an experience of buying a 205FCC and returning to ask a question only to be caught between two rival salesmen who didn't want to help me because each one thought I was the other's customer. I left without ONE salesman willing to answer my question. All I got were arrogant cold shoulders. And this is a 7000 dollar camera! On a second occassion I ordered something on the phone to be picked up by messenger. I decided that I would pick it up on my own since I was in the area, only to find out that they would only give it to the messenger. No logic would change their minds. I had to leave without the merchandise. On a third occassion I returned something and the salesman who was "doing me a favor", carelessely forgot to credit my credit card, and didn't bother to appologize after making me stand on line to see him again about the problem. On a fourth occassion I went on line to ask some info, oh well never mind. Good luck to all you out of staters who apparently are getting better treatment than some of us New Yorkers! ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 17 Nov 2000 09:59:10 -0800 From: Mark Rabiner To: hasselblad@kelvin.net Subject: Re: B&H Message-ID: <3A1571EF.11F36CB7@rabiner.cncoffice.com> Nitzan Tagansky wrote: >> > > Good luck to all you out of staters who apparently are getting better > treatment than some of us New Yorkers! > Most businesses now a days value a ringing phone much more than a customer standing there with money in his hand. If you want results from most businesses call them on the phone. Showing up in person makes you personal non grata. Walk to the corner phonebooth and call them for faster service. The exception is CameraWorld who does not usually answer their phone ever. IT is ignored. You have to E-mail them. You can stand outside the counter section with the Hasselblads and German cameras for an hour and not get a Salomon to help you. mark rabiner :) http://spokenword.to/rabiner/ ------------------------------ End of hasselblad V1 #1052 ************************** ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The Hasselblad Users Group Listserv is a public service of Absolute Internet, Inc., which is not responsible for its content.
