Held the 645 but didn't buy it. Blake said it was a VERY successful product line. Some more lens for it will be released in the future. I particularly liked the 35mm lens as it would replace the need for the 903SWC for me, and give me the choice between automation and manual, with plenty of pocket change left over in comparision to purchasing the 903SWC. --- BLADHASS@aol.com wrote: > I just loaned out my Hasselblad to a friend. > He will be conducting > tests between the Contax 645 and the Hasselblad 503. > He is making this test > only to determine which camera will make the > sharpest prints. I've always heard they're great for hand holding the camera and the grip seemed to fit my left hand like a glove, so I bought it. Took it home and tried to mount it on my 503cx, which it should fit, but found that it fit the mounting plate OK but the darn body has a US adapter installed (naturally) and the pistol grip uses a European thread. My question: Is there any way to remove the US thread without destroying it so I can use the pistol grip but also reinsert the adapter to mount it on my tripod? The adapter doesn't seem to have the slots in it one can use to unscrew it with a screwdriver like I've seen in other thread adapters. Any other way to use it? Sure hate to waste 7 bucks! ;) Jim Laird ------------------------------ End of hasselblad V1 #1059 ************************** ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The Hasselblad Users Group Listserv is a public service of Absolute Internet, Inc., which is not responsible for its content.
