I know it works with CF (and later) lenses, but am not sure how they transfer aperture data to the body. Or am I missing something here? Yes. ;-) TTL-flash does not need to know what aperture is set. It just measures the amount of light, and shuts off the flash when the appropriate level for the film used is reached. Accordingly, there is no need of transferring aperture data to the body (the CF or CFi lenses can not do that too.
