However, when moving the shutter speed ring on the lens I now notice a bit of a grind as though there is a bit of grit or sand under the ring. If it is sand, it must have been airborne when it attached itself to my lens. Will this work itself out ... or should I have the lens serviced? I can say, I too = believed film to be superior, and it is. My bottom line is what pushed me = to see that my film prints are so far ahead of what my clients expected, = that the digital is still ahead of the chain store print work. I haven't = gone so fare as to sell 30x40 yet, but who knows. I do know, I sell more reprints with digital when clients see the work = right after the session. No the digital is not eaqual to the film, but = how many clients are going to ask me about dpi resolutions on their = prints. Anyhow, most labs are switching to digital printers for work = over 16x20 anyhow. So guess what folks, your digital weather you like it = or not. Yes, the scan your negatives, and then print them. They know, = as the client does, you can't tell the difference either most of the time. I asked exactly what I paid for it, but only succeeded in selling some of the smaller items. This is my final offer, for the entire system: Black 500 C/M body, upgraded winding crank, black A12 magazine, black 150mm 4.0 CT* Sonnar with hood and focusing lever, and chrome 50mm 4.0 C Distagon, with original bubble case, rear cap, and lens hood/series 7 filter holder. With this outfit come a series 7 orange cc filter, a 67mm polarizing filter, and a Heliopan UV filter, as well as a Bay50 to 52mm filter adapter for the Sonnar. All of the equipment is in excellent to excellent+ condition, as rated by the KEH system. I will only sell the entire collection as a unit, for $2,500 plus shipping costs: That's substantially lower than I offered it for previously, as individual pieces. I'm buying a car for my daughter, and need the down payment more than I need my Hasselblad. Will not accept any offer lower than $2,500. This equipment has been very well cared for, and will provide someone with the chance to own a Hasselblad system for less than the price of a new 'blad by itself. Anyone interested please contact me directly, off-list. If it doesn't sell here this time, the whole outfit will go to KEH. Why pay their mark-up when you can get it now for less? Please reply to Coleg@sce.com. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 18 Jun 2001 17:09:50 -0600 From: Wilfred VonDauster To: hasselblad@kelvin.net Subject: Re: color film recommendations Message-ID: <3B2E8A3E.DD0E6917@earthlink.net> Hi All, Please let me second Jim's recommendation of Provia F.
