The other lens was modified by making a new mount ring, complete with the homebrew lens mount. The successful mod was done some months ago, the bad one, last few weeks.... I am thinking of buying a new 30mm lens, and I am trying to find out where can I obtain the parts for mounting it on the hassy body. Thanks Ben ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 23 Jun 2001 22:27:58 -0700 From: "Frank Filippone" To: Subject: RE: Arsat 30mm fish eye lens Message-ID: <009b01c0fc6e$6dd2af60$0201a8c0@Workgroup> Ben.. It was NOT a shop.. the guy is an amateur machinist... he did all the calculations, engineering diagrams and fabrication himself. In a nutshell, the rear mount of the lens is removed, the auto aperture feature ius disabled, a new rear mount is created, and the OEM Hassy lensmount was attached. Then this new rear assembly is fit over the lens, and 3 small screws hold it in place.....
