Maxine- There wasn't a great deal of detail in your note, but presuming that the=20= 501 is "locked up" now, I'd try the following: - Insert the dark slide, see if you can remove the magazine. If you can,=20= does the camera body now allow you to release the shutter & advance the=20= winding crank? (if so, problem is in magazine. If not, problem is=20 probably in body). If you canNOT advance the film or release the=20 shutter, time to give the camera a good visual inspection inside & out.=20= If you can't find something obvious, contact Hasselblad (or other=20 qualified repair person) over the phone to have them "walk you thru"=20 possible solutions. - If you CAN get the magazine off the camera, try unfolding the rewind=20= crank on the magazine and advance the entire roll of film until it comes=20= off the spool. Can you open the magazine now? If so, you're probably OK=20= (other than a "questionable" magazine and 11 wasted frames). If you=20 CAN'T advance the film or open the magazine; contact Hasselblad and ask=20= them for help. - If you WERE able to get the magazine off and free up the jammed=20 magazine, you're still left with the question as to why it jammed in the=20= first place. If you HAVE to finish this project soon, try and=20 locate/borrow a different magazine so it doesn't lock up again! (until=20= you can get the old one repaired or inspected). - If you weren't able to get the body working, or the body & magazine=20 separated; it's time to start looking for a store to RENT a camera (or=20= perhaps you have a friend who can loan you some equipment to get thru=20 your project. Could you make do with 35mm?).
