Perhaps, you mean the 350 f5.6 T* Superachromat? If so, buy that sucker ASAP. Even if it's only the regular 350, $1600 is still a very good price. -- Patrick Bartek NoLife Polymath Group bartek@intermind.net ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 18 Jul 2001 23:51:53 +0300 From: "Radu Grozescu" To: Subject: Re: Metx 45ct-5 Message-ID: <003701c10fcb$7a680660$0441e9d5@radugrozescu> This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0034_01C10FE4.9F1506C0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable While I'm not certain it will appply in your case, one option to = consider is a normal AA holder designed for alkalines, and to load that = with ni-cads or possibly nimh. This is what I am doing. Beware that the Metz 45 flashes are clever enough to know if you insert a battery holder or a NiCd pack :-) This was done using three contacts inside the flash which make contact on only two plates on the pack. It is important because the electronics inside the flash have to adapt for lower voltage/higher current from the rechargeables as opposed to alkaline batteries. What I did was to get apart the flash and switch two of the three contacts inside so the flash is properly "fed". This way you can change the rechargeables at will but you will not be able to use the Metz charger anymore ;-( If you need further details on how to do this, please ask first. How does your "fixed" Metz handle 1.5 V alkalines? ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 19 Jul 2001 00:10:28 +0300 From: "Radu Grozescu" To: "Q.G. de Bakker" , Subject: Re: Metx 45ct-5 Message-ID: <005401c10fce$12aa12e0$0441e9d5@radugrozescu> > How does your "fixed" Metz handle 1.5 V alkalines? Since the "fix" is (semi) permanent I didn't put alkalines in it ever since - I'm afraid of frying the electronics. But I use 1500 mAh NiMh so no need for alkalines :-) Yours, Radu Grozescu www.RaduGrozescu.com ------------------------------ End of hasselblad V1 #1292 ************************** ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The Hasselblad Users Group Listserv is a public service of Absolute Internet, Inc., which is not responsible for its content.
