You can buy gen-u-ine Hasselblad B50 filters used for a reasonable price, now that most or all of the new lenses no longer use this size. The Hassy B50's are (according to them) not multi-coated. B+W, Heliopan, Hoya and Tiffen also make or made B50 filters. All but Tiffen are coated. My personal recommendation: buy a B50-52 adaptor and then use 52mm filters. Since the majority of Nikon lenses take 52mm filters, the choice is practically unlimited, and you can get multi-coated (6 coats) and super-multi-coated (12 coats) filters in Hoya brand which are unlikely to cause additional flare, important especially if your 80C is non-T*. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 19 Feb 2000 08:12:59 +0100 From: "=?iso-8859-1?Q?ULF_SJ=D6GREN?=" To: Subject: SV: Filter sizes Message-ID: <000c01bf7aa8$c15aa1e0$62ef97d4@s-101194> I agree with what have been said. there are lots of filters and brands = that you can use. But if you want graduated filters the Coquin filters = are most useful as you can slide the (rectangular) filter in its special = adapter and thus have the effect where it suits you - and the picture. = Coquin filters are cheap, optically good but not to recommend to use = directly against the sun 'couse there is some flare added to the = picture. But on the other hand - who the h..l takes pictures directly = against the sun..... ;-) Ulf Sj=F6gren Sweden -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- Fr=E5n: InfinityDT@aol.com Till: hasselblad@kelvin.net Datum: den 19 februari 2000 00:12 =C4mne: Re: Filter sizes >In a message dated 2/18/00 5:30:14 PM Eastern Standard Time, = david@scc.net=20 >writes: > ><< I have a Planar 80mm, the old C type, I think.
