I don't recall a "T" position on the C lenses. To selftimer with CF lenses, use a separate screw-in selftimer in the cable release socket on the body, set the release to "T" for longer speeds so the rear hatch doesn't close as the selftimer plunger retracts. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 14 Mar 2000 16:46:46 EST From: InfinityDT@aol.com To: hasselblad@kelvin.net Subject: Re: new prism Message-ID: <29.26cc96b.26000d46@aol.com> In a message dated 3/14/00 1:11:14 PM Eastern Standard Time, henryp@bhphotovideo.com writes: << The new Hasselblad prism is online at http://www.hasselbladusa.com/about/pr022000a.htm >> Basically this is a PM5 with the magnification dropped from 3x to 2.5x so as to make it high-eyepoint. Perhaps, as in my case, more than one person uses the camera. One with glasses and one without. Jim >> So the person without glasses wouldn't need a diopter adjustment either ; ) Actually, after I thought about it there is one good reason to have a diopter adjustment, which is if you wear bifocals. The "virtual" distance of the finder is somewhere in-between the upper Rx (long distance) and lower Rx (reading). My bifocal Rx isn't that strong (yet!) so I see the finder image fine through my distance Rx. I read somewhere the Hassy prisms virtual distance is 1.5m. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 14 Mar 2000 16:33:32 -0800 From: Jim Brick To: hasselblad@kelvin.net Subject: Re: new prism Message-ID: <4.1.20000314162930.03777030@gateway.photoaccess.com> At 06:36 PM 3/14/00 -0500, InfinityDT@aol.com wrote: > >So the person without glasses wouldn't need a diopter adjustment either ; ) >Actually, after I thought about it there is one good reason to have a diopter >adjustment, which is if you wear bifocals. I "do not" wear glasses but require a neutral Hasselblad diopter in Hasselblad eyepieces and a +0.5 doipter in my Leica M6's. My Leica R7 diopter is dialed in to the equivalent of +0.5 .
