I've since become immersed in the computer/controller business. Since then I worked as a commercial/illustrative photographer and a process control hardware/firmware/software designer. I designed all of the computer based IMG Photo Products equipment, CPAC Silver recovery equipment, a Kodak silvery recovery unit, various minilab products as well as non photographic products. A spred spectrum 1.8 GHz PCS phone system for Omnipoint Communications, a wind tunnel controller for NASA, and for the past two years, I've been designing a new digital camera for RCA. We have the prototype working and things are starting to come together. I was one of the original people at Photo Access when we dreamed up the new photo chip and later obtained a contract with RCA to make a camera around the chip. We were just purchased by Agilent so instead of 20 people in the company, there's now 40,000 people. Yikes! Actually I am a senior scientist for the Imaging Electronics Division which is quite small in comparison. When not engineering, my photography is now fine art. I print prints from 16x20 to 48x60 and have a reasonably good business selling them. My wife and I also publish photo based books. We do the photography, the typesetting, the layout, everything, and then have them printed in Hong Kong. We have four books out now and are working on a fifth. In my spare time I...
