Left @ Barstow to Mojave. Right on 395 and north through the Owens Valley. Caveats: a. You'll probably run out of film before you get there. b. You'll probably contract Adams-ea, a chronic disease from which there is no known cure. Symptoms are: 1. Wide-eyed stupor while perusing USGS maps all night 2. Veering off main roads and across vast open expanses in search of the next Moonrise over Barking Fish (coordination lousy from lack of sleep) 3. Making a scene at the Lone Pine Liquor and Gun shop for not stocking pro-packs of your favorite emulsions ("Scala. You know, from Agfa, Moron... sheesh!") 4. Vertigo from affecting the Master Photographer stance atop the plywood platform on your fancy SUV (Ansel used an old International Travelall for awhile) 5. Searching old wrecking yards for old International Travelalls (the 60's rounded ones) 6. Cursing the gods for not listening to HUG members about buying a sturdy tripod. 7. Cursing the gods for listening to HUG members about about purchasing expensive carbon tripod (lousy in a blowing crosswind -- weight's not an issue with the Travelall) 8. Cursing the gods for not buying more shock cord to lash tripod down (actually, got kicked out of Liquor and Gun shop in Lone Pine before purchasing) 9. Cursing. Lots of cursing.... I have an assortment of Proxars (which BTW according to the 2000 catalog will be discontinued this year) and they are very useful (especially for quick shots without TTL metering). A better close-up lens are the 2-element multi-coated Nikon 5T and 6T which are in 62mm thread and can be used on CF lenses with an adaptor. Users of C lenses could use the 2T and 3T, identical except in 52mm thread, and a B50-52 adaptor. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 22 Sep 2000 12:32:23 -0300 From: "Eduardo Aigner" To: "Hasselblad mailing list" Subject: treasure Message-ID: <000501c024aa$a5f7e1e0$7845f8c8@EduardoAigner> > >1 corpo Hasselblad 500EL c/ lente Zeiss Biogon f 5.6 - 60mm > >1 corpo Hasselblad 203FE > >1 lente Hasselblad 100mm f3.5 > >1 lente Hasselblad 40mm f4 A friend "found" these itens on his daddy basement!
